Walk along the Chesterfield Canal towpath from Shireoaks Marina. A visit to a less well known, but still interesting, part of South Yorkshire normally with a good range of  birds, insects and water plants  in evidence. 

It is hoped to walk north west as far as Thorpe Bridge and back, about 3 miles, time about 3 hours.
