Members of the public are welcome to join our members at any of the excursions listed below.

For outdoor meetings it is advisable to wear stout footwear, suitable weather wear, and if appropriate insect repellent and sunscreen. For day meetings a drink and a packed lunch if the meeting is extended. For mothing sessions (usually arranged at short notice) bring a torch, hot drink and warm clothes.

Other field visits may be arranged and added to the programme. Any additions or amendments to the programme will be highlighted in red

Detailed information about excursions will be sent to members via email by the General Secretary a few days before any event.

Please let the leader, or the Gen. Sec., know if you will be coming to an excursion, so that the leader will know how many will attend and also so that any changes or cancellations can be notified.
      Attendance is at your own risk.
      Children under 16 should be accompanied by an adult.

      Note : Mothing at Austerfield, Potteric Carr, Lindholme etc. is possible on suitable evenings.
                  Please let us know if you would be interested as sessions will be arranged at very short notice.

Objective : A small nature reserve belonging to Les Driffield who will show us round.
