Doncaster Microscopical and General Scientific Society

The annual general meeting of the above society was recently held in the Guild Hall, Dr. J. Mitchell Wilson (president) in the chair.

The report pf the previous session was received and adopted.

After furnishing a detailed account of the work done during the period special allusion was made to the publication of the transactions of the society in the early part of the year.

The number of members showed a slight falling off from the previous year, but notwithstanding this the statement of accounts was decidedly more favourable, there being at the present time a balance of nearly £9.

The following gentlemen were elected as officers for present session.

President, the Rev. George Smith, M.A.

Vice-presidents, the Rev. Canon Brock, M.A., Mr. J. M. Kirk, the Rev. W. R. Weston, Dr. J. Mitchell Wilson

Committee, the Rev. A. H. Faber, M.A., J. G. Walker, T. J. Hasselby, C. H. Loxley, T. H. Easterfield, and W. E. Atkinson

Hon. Secretary and Treasurer, Mr. M. H. Stiles

 

A vote of thanks to the retiring President and to the Hon. Secretary terminated the proceedings.
