The next meeting is on Tuesday 2nd July and is part of the three pits walk, this time to Edlington Colliery Site. Meet at 1.30 in the car park SK547990 for a two mile walk. The leader is Hilary Hilton.

I have just visited today 25^th June very hot and dry.

Some repair Work on the wood has started 25^th June I think repairs to some fencing but they hope to keep disruption to a minimum.

Not many birds seen or heard other than pigeons and magpies

Just a few Brown butterflies about.

Plenty of flowers in bloom but may be past their best with another week if it keeps hot and dry over the next week.

 However the Highlight well be the hundreds (maybe thousands ?) of orchids including three Bee orchids I spotted.
