Encouraged by these successes your committee has arranged for another Course for next year.
During the past session, seven meetings of the society, in addition to the General Meeting, were held at these the following papers were read: –

The average attendance at these meetings has been eleven. It is very satisfactory to be able to state that a considerable increase in the membership has taken place during the past session, no less than 15 new members having joined the society within that period, increasing the number on the Roll to 51.
At the invitation of this society the Annual Meeting of the Yorkshire Naturalists Union will very shortly be held in Doncaster. The Mayor (Mr. Councillor Masters) has not only thrown open the Mansion House for the meeting but is extending a most cordial welcome to those members of the union who may visit Doncaster on this occasion.
Your Committee is arranging to hold a Conversazione in the evening & earnestly hopes that every member will join with them in helping to make the meeting as great a success as was the last one.
From the Statement of Accounts furnished herewith it will be seen that the financial condition of the society continues to be very satisfactory.
