The next meeting on the programme is this coming Friday 22nd August to Thorpe Marsh for pond dipping and to look for Willow Emerald Damselflies. Meet at 1.30 at the level crossing on Applehurst Lane SK539912. Post code DN6 0EA. Approach from the direction of the village of Thorpe-in-Balne, go down Applehust Lane and go straight through the Nicholson’s farm yard towards the level crossing. Please don’t be late as we will have to go through the gates together as it is an unmanned crossing. 

The leader is Mick Townsend. Mick has plenty of nets for pond dipping but asks if anyone has a white tray to view what is caught then please bring it along. Might be an idea to bring identification materials and a magnifying glass.
