A Festival of Amateur Natural History.

Attendance is free for all (including non-members).

No need to book in advance; just turn up on the day.

There will be displays from various groups and a selection of second-hand wildlife books on sale and the new ‘Birds of the Sheffield Area’ from Sheffield Bird Study Group at a cost of £32

11:30 Break.

12:00 Trevor Mayne: Crayfish.

12:30 Catherine Artindale: Gosling Moor an Ancient Wood Pasture (Barnsley)

13:00 Lunch break.

14:00 Sophie Olenjnik Biodiversity of Lindrick Golf Course (Rotherham)

14:30 Steve Byers: Gardening for Wildlife

15:00 Derek Whiteley: Henry Clifton Sorby, 200th Anniversary of his birth.

15.30 Close. Informal chat and drinks. Dismantle displays and leave.

Attendees are welcome to bring displays and items to sell. Timings and speakers may be subject to change. The Sorby website will display up-to-date details, including any weather problems on the day.

Reasonably-priced food (sandwiches, cakes and biscuits) and hot drinks will be available at all breaks, and the bar will be open from lunch.
