Webmasters Report 2024

The website continues to display current and forthcoming programmes of the societies meetings, including any updates to the current programme that occur post publication. There is also an archived record of previous programmes back to 2019.

The website also continues to display all reports of society meetings being held in the current year. There is also an archive record of past meeting reports back to 2020.

A 2024 progress report of the Smeaton Swifts nest boxes, which the society partially funded, is also to be found under Articles, and DNATS Funding Projects.

New features that have been created this current year include

• An Archive section that contains a comprehensive list of all the societies archives, including any publications, as currently stored at Doncaster Museum. (work in progress)

Future additions to the website under consideration is for the inclusion, where possible, of copies of NATS publications currently in store at Doncaster Museum.

The committee is always open to suggestions from the members for suggestions, additions or improvements to the website.

Following Colin’s summary of the Archives in the Museum.

We should consider if the archives need to be preserved in a digital format in addition to the museum storage.

If it is decided to digitise the archives, a comprehensive plan needs to be produced
